Last semester, I became a member of my university’s chapter of Nourish International. The student-run non-profit organization seeks to build sustainability and alleviate poverty through education and entrepreneurship. Every summer Nourish chapters participate in humanitarian projects. This year our chapter is partnering with UPAVIM to help tutor kids, build a core curriculum for its students, and facilitate English classes.
For six weeks, I be living in Guatemala City in the impoverished community of La Esperanza and volunteering at UPAVIM. Follow my journey abroad in Guatemala. I will be posting about all my adventures, funny stories, and culture shock moments while abroad. Stayed tuned!
